Wagyu Strategy Seminar in Indonesia — Halal-Certified “Arita Wagyu” Set to Enter the Market🇮🇩

In 2025, a Wagyu promotion seminar organized by the Japan Livestock Products Export Promotion Council (J-LEC) was held in Jakarta, Indonesia, where over 170 professionals from the meat industry attended. As an officially government-backed event, we Arita Wagyu participated as one of Japan’s leading Halal Wagyu brands, delivering a presentation to a room filled with importers, distributors, chefs, central kitchen operators, and premium F&B decision-makers — reaffirming the exceptionally high level of interest in authentic Japanese Wagyu.
Indonesia is the world’s largest Halal market, with the fourth-largest population globally and more than 90% being Muslim. Arita Wagyu has already obtained official Halal certification from both BPJPH and MUI, and is one of the very few Japanese producers that maintains a complete fully integrated system from breeding to processing to export, ensuring the highest standards of safety, traceability, and stable long-term supply.
During the J-LEC seminar, two key market concerns were repeatedly raised —
“Japanese Wagyu = too fatty, A5-only, luxury-only”
“very limited access to stable Halal-certified supply routes”
To this, we introduced the unique positioning of Arita Wagyu —
a high-oleic, clean-flavored Wagyu that is light and elegant enough for frequent consumption — not just for special occasions.
This message resonated strongly as a “new global standard for Wagyu”, distinct from the traditional image of ultra-rich A5 beef meant only for celebrations.
As a result, we received numerous serious inquiries from import distributors, hotel groups, major restaurant operators, and central kitchen partners who are seeking long-term strategic Halal Wagyu partnerships — and we are now entering the final phase before officially launching exports to Indonesia.
We are actively seeking long-term strategic business partners in Indonesia — not simply buyers, but co-creators of the future Wagyu market, such as:
-
Central kitchen / processing & menu development partners
-
Luxury hotel & fine-dining signature menu partners
-
Co-branding partners to build a premium Halal meat category
-
Market strategists who wish to help define the new Wagyu culture in Indonesia
The official entry of Arita Wagyu into Indonesia is imminent.
We are committed to delivering authentic Halal Japanese Wagyu — and together with the right partners, establishing a new standard of Wagyu experience for the Indonesian market.
